| Hello! It is my great privilege to join to excellent
teaching staff at the Life Science Department at Santa Monica College. I
hope to spend many exciting years with both the faculty and students. I received my Ph.D in Molecular and Cell Biology from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI under the direction of Lisa Elferink, Ph.D. I moved to California three years ago and have thoroughly enjoyed not having to shovel my driveway during the winter months! In addition to teaching here at SMC, I am currently the Research Director for the Regenerative Bioengineering and Repair Laboratory at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Our work in the REBAR lab explores the use of a novel population of adult stem cells that is isolation from liposuction fat tissue. For links to my CV and published articles, click here.
