Our Mission
Working with artists and craftspeople is integral to what we do. In some cases the very architecture becomes the base that in effect supports specific art installations. In other examples the architecture and arts are formed together and create a almost seamless spatial experience. In all our projects, we work with craftspeople to fabricate a very specific architectural element so that the detail of the work relates directly to the larger artist expression. An example of this work include casts for planters.
Our approach to sustainable designs is rooted in the essential nature of each site itself, and the orientation of building to the topography, minimizing construction wastes, and also making appropriate choices for building systems, and as the materials palette. We also integrated innovative methods of dealing with passive cooling, all natural ventilation, managing daylight and low energy uses re–cycled and repurposed materials, also life cycle cost analyses, and the newest green roofing materials.
