Within the context of our educational missions and diverse student bodies,
students’ collegiate experience must be enhanced and supported. Academic
and advising programs must nurture environments where similarities and
differences among people are recognized and honored. As educators, we must
foster cultural and educational experiences that are characterized by open
and continuous communication which deepen the understanding of individuals’
uniqueness. It is within this framework that our students’ educational
experiences will be enriched, while simultaneously supporting their growth
