Email Correspondence
Journal
send to sucher_kathryn@smc.edu
What? You should plan to correspond with your teacher--Prof. Kathy--over the course of the semester. You can write about anything you like: yourself, the weather, the class, your weekend, or something else.
How much? Anywhere from a few sentences to a paragraph is appropriate for an email correspondence.
Why? This will help you to focus your writing in a personal way. It will also provide you with practice and models for email correspondence. You will get to know your teacher better.
How? Your correspondence should be via e-mail.
When? Plan to write to Kathy three times this semester. Each time you write to Kathy, she will reply. You should plan to send a minimum of three emails.
What should I do with the email? Print out each email that contains your message and Kathy's reply. Save these emails! By Nov. 17th, 2006 you should have 3 messages and 3 replies printed out and stapled together (a total of 6 pages) ready to turn in.
