These classes start August 29 and end December 12 and meets Mondays and Wednesdays.

from 2:15 to 3:35, and the lab follows at 3:45 in DRSHCR 308.

4600 meets
from 5:15 to 6:45, and the lab follows at 6:45 in DRSHCR 308.

CREDIT
This
class is graded Credit/No Credit. It
is worth three units which are not transferable.
Students will be given credit for this course if their writing has
improved enough for the student to progress to English 81B.
Progressing to English 81B depends on performance on the Mastery Exam
given at the end of the course. The Mastery Exam includes an in-class essay
and a grammar test.
BOOKS
The texts for this class are Writing with Confidence (8th ed.) by Alan Meyers and the xeroxed materials for this class in the bookstore (Required Supplementary Grammar Material for section #1660 or 1662). Students also need to get the English 81 Lab Book. All students must have these books by the second class meeting.
