About the Instructor: Crystal Robbins has been actively acting, producing, directing and writing for the past fourteen years. She has appeared in leading roles in film, TV and on the New York Stage, Los Angeles Stage and in Regional Theatre. Most recently she had a principal role in a new feature film, TIME CHANGER, which is expected to be released in October, 2002. She is currently a Candidate for Certification in the Lessac Voice and Body Work and has worked privately with Arthur Lessac for the past four years. She holds a BFA from the University of Memphis in Memphis, Tennessee and has studied with the British American Drama Academy at Balliol College in Oxford, England. She teaches voice and acting privately. Santa Monica College is her first collegiate teaching job and she loves it. She has recently published three scholarly articles on her research with the Lessac work in the VASTA newsletter (Voice and Speech Trainers Association, Inc.). She is honored to have been nominated for a new teacher award through VASTA. A published poet, Crystal currently is writing a series of children's travel books, inspired by her toddler.
