Methods and Standards of Evaluation

Attendance = 50% of your grade
(This means Participating not Observing)

no more than 3 absences = A
up to 5 absences = B
up to 6 absences = C
up to 7 absences = D
more than 7 = F
Three tardies = one absence
No make-ups, excuses
     (Exceptions may be made under very special circumstances)

Mid term exam = 20%

Final exam and papers = 30%

Office Hours:
A message can be left in my mailbox upstairs in the P.E. Department

Class Participation will not be permitted if the student is more than 15 minutes late. If you are not absent but cannot participate in class activity, a written assignment to be done in class may be given.

If you have any medical problem which I should be aware of, please speak to me personally.

PLEASE DO NOT COME TO CLASS SICK !

Due to the physical nature of ballet it is often necessary for the teacher to touch the students physically for the purpose of correcting body placement and position. Therefore, if this presents a problem please submit a letter in writing to the head of the department and the teacher will be notified. All documents will be confidential and filed in the office.

No street shoes, food or drink in dance studios !
