This course is an introduction to women's studies as an interdisciplinary academic discipline rooted in individual and collective action through leadership training, group activities, service learning, and networking opportunities on and off campus.  Students will develop an understanding of this field in terms of a broad range of women's experiences across class, race/ethnic, and international lines.  Students will initiate, design, and complete a student field project that demonstrates their ability to apply what they are learning in the classroom.  Women's Studies 8 is a repeatable 1.5 credit course for students.  Course content fluctuates each semester based on individual and group interests, available resources and community needs.
