I've been teaching at Santa Monica College since 1998. I have also taught at Loyola Marymount University where I received a Masters degree in English. In addition, I have earned a Masters degree in Education from California State University, Los Angeles, and a Bachelors degree in English from the University of California, Riverside. Before returning to LMU to earn my M.A. in English, I worked for many years as an administrator and manager in higher education, first at CSULA and then at UCLA. As well as teaching at SMC, I also write and have published several articles, essays, and reviews, including an article on L.A.'s Standup poets in Poets & Writers magazine. And for several years, I've been working on a novel, in hopes of seeing it published one day before too long. |
