You must be logged onto a campus computer.
Look for an icon to “data on Newton” on your desktop.
(The icon should be there for computers in the Science Building.)
Double click on the Newton icon. A window should open showing folders with names
of faculty.
Look for a folder called “nichols_lyle” and double click on it.
You will now see all the available lectures. Double click on the one you
are interested in and it will open.
To save a PowerPoint lecture select "File" then "Save as". You can now save the
file on the computer you are logging onto.
If this icon is not there…
1. Press “Start” at the bottom left side of the screen.
2. Select “Search” then select “Printers, Computers, or People”.
3. Select “A computer on the network” and type in Newton.
4. A link to Newton should appear in the search window. Double click on Newton.

8. To save a PowerPoint lecture select "File" then "Save as". You can now save the file on the computer you are logging onto. To take a PowerPoint lecture home you will probably need a 100 meg zip disk (old technology) or a USB drive since most of these files are too large for the old standard 1.4 meg floppy disk.
