This introductory course is desgined for the students with no previous knowledge of American Sign Language and/or with basic communicative competencies. Students learn to handle basic everyday communication.  EXCHANGING INFORMATION, IDENTIFYING OTHERS and GIVING SIMPLE DIRECTIONS. Topic center on personal information, and the immediate environment. Gramnmar is introduced in context with an emphasis on developing question and answer skills. Cultural notes and videotapes provide information on early-child development, Deaf Culture and Deaf Community. This course is consists of 8 units along with game exercises and fingerspelling
