Highest recorded wind gust: 31 mph on January 11
Discussion
- record rainfall continued through February but then ended abruptly (except for a slight encore in April)
- rest of the year very average
- late-September Santa Ana heat wave, complete with wildfire
- followed by brief October rainy period, with significant subtropical moisture--rainy season slightly ahead of schedule
- proved to be a tease as November and December weren't very wet (a trend that continued into the first two months of 2006)
