ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Act as a technical resource to effectively and efficiently deliver qualitytechnical testing and reports.Collaborate and work with Sun's geographically distributed teams around the US, especially those in California, on both systems testing and software related tasks by conducting analysis, tests.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

Technical report writing skills. Time accounting.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

Solid computer software/system background and strong C/C++, Java programming skills on UNIX/Linux/Windows. Good UNIX/Linux/Windows system administration skills, knowlege of Solaris a plus.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE:

Solid computer software/system background and strong C/C++, Java programming skills on UNIX/Linux/Windows. Good UNIX/Linux/Windows system administration skills, knowlege of Solaris a plus. Significant in-depth knowledge one or more of the following products a plus: Apache, MySQL, SQUID, Tomcat. Skills with scripting languages (Perl, PHP, Python, UNIX shells, jRuby etc) a plus. Experience with system testing a plus. Excellent English communications, technical reports writing skills. Able to work on multiple projects in parallel. Excellent team player. Student in Computer Engineering/Science preferred.
