Assignment

This is a reading assignment. Reading assignments do not require anything to be turned in or graded. However they are equally concrete, official, and required. Do the assigned reading.

Read:

1) the first two parts of the article entitled "Introduction to the Internet Protocols."

    Part 1 - What is TCP/IP?
    Part 2 - General description of the TCP/IP protocols

The article can be found at the link on the home page labeled "TCP/IP." If you wish to print it out (good idea), it would be easier to do so from this pdf version of the document.

2) "Fundamental Unix Commands" (link from home page). This is lead-in information to Assignment 3.
