1)   The opening of your paper is due. Ideally, you should have about two pages, but whatever you bring, as long as it’s at least two paragraphs, will do.  The opening is at least two paragraphs and includes your thesis statement. Bring two copies, so we everyone can work on them in class in small groups. The more you bring, the more help you’ll get, and the better chance you’ll have for a good grade.  If you bring in nothing or very little, you will lose points off of your final essay.

1) The WikiHow website just offered “How to Use Apostrophes,” which is worth reviewing before you go into your research paper.  You don’t want to make apostrophe mistakes.  Click here: http://www.wikihow.com/Use-Apostrophes

 

2) Read “Test Day” (page 510) in 75 Readings Plus and answer questions a, b, g, and h.  I selected these questions because I want you, too, in your research paper you’re writing to have purpose, a thesis, and mixed strategies.  If you can see these things in this essay, you might be able to see them in your own.
