Electronic Mail Assignment

Exercise 1 – The World Wide Web

Visit five World Wide Web Sites that you find interesting enough to write about. For each site, make a note of:

1. The site URL (e.g., http://www.smc.edu)

2. The name of the site as displayed in the title bar.

3. Your comments, two or more sentences, about the site. Describe what the site contains and why it is of interest.

Type the above into Notepad, WordPad, or Word and save as Email.doc (if you are using WordPad or Word) or Email.txt (if you are using Notepad). In the top left hand corner of the document, be sure to type:

Your name

CIS 1

E-mail Assignment

date

Exercise 2 – Electronic Mail

Send an E-mail message to me at kurtz_keith@smc.edu with the file created in Exercise 1 attached. Include your name in the body of the E-mail. Be sure to put a subject in the subject line of the E-mail.

You should use your own account for this. Please do not send this from another person’s account as I will reply and may use it for future communications. You may use your SMC student account for this assignment. You can do this from any Web enabled computer. To use your SMC student account, launch a web browser and go to http://student.smc.edu.
