INTERNET ASSIGNMENT 2
Research With Internet Explorer

 

 

If you did not complete Chapter 2 in the Internet Explorer workbook, you should do so.  You should do all of the items indicated by a number in a red circle that do not require printing.

  1. Open a blank WordPad document and type at the top:

    Your Name
    CIS 1 Internet Assignment 2
    today’s date

  2. Using Google, search for the following, then copy and paste the URL (web address) of the following three pages into your open WordPad document:
    1. A web page containing a picture of a red ear slider
    2. A web page containing a picture of Simon Cowell or Jay Leno
    3. A web page containing a picture of the northern lights (aurora  borealis)

  3. Browse to www.infospace.com and create a list business names, addresses, and phone numbers in your WordPad document for the following businesses:
    1. Specialty Supplies, Inc.
    2. Microsoft Corporation
    3. Flagler Museum
    4. Recreational Equipment, Inc.

  4. Browse to maps.google.com to display the Google Maps page.  Find the following maps, then copy and paste the link to each particular map into your WordPad document:
    1. Eiffel Tower, Paris, France
    2. Key West, Florida
    3. White House, District of Columbia

  5. Browse to www.corbis.com to display the Corbis home page. Find, then copy an paste pictures of the following into your WordPad document:
    1. The Golden Gate Bridge
    2. The Seattle Space Needle
    3. The Statue of Liberty

  6. Name the file that you create as Internet2 and save it in your submittal folder. 
  7. Drag your submittal folder into the CIS1 folder on the Zeus server before the next class session.
