Dear Summer Session Students of 2009,

Let me just say that I love you all for each of your special ways and I thank you for being my student this past summer session.  I would love to give everyone A's at least for your efforts to learn math, but then that is not the way the system works!  I do the grades strictly mathematically and the amount of points you earned during the summer session determined your grade. If you earned more than 895 points you earned an A, more than 795 points you earned a B, more than 695 points you earned a C.

All student names and numbers are deleted to have complete privacy.  Click on the link "grades" way below after you read how the grades were calculated.

Math 20 Grade Calculations:

Below you will find how your grade was calculated using EXCEL. Homework was worth 100 points but many got 110 because of their extra credit work.  Exams were worth 600 points and the final exam was worth 280 points.  The collaborative learning assignments were worth 20 points.     

GRADE FORMULA: TOT+ 1.5*(E1+E2+E3+E4+E5-LS)+ CL + EC + FPTS = PTS

PTS/10 =% =GRADE
