Microsoft Correction Exercise

The following essay was written by an intermediate level ESL student at a private arts college. Copy the essay and paste it into a Word document by following the instructions below.

  1. Click on the START button at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Click on PROGRAMS.
  3. Click on Microsoft Word.
  4. Click your e-mail/ Internet button at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Select the essay below by moving your mouse to the beginning of the essay, clicking the left mouse button and dragging it to the end of the essay.
  6. Click COPY in EDIT in the menu bar.
  7. Click on the Microsoft Word button at the bottom of the screen.
  8. Click PASTE in EDIT in the menu bar.

Introduction from Essay called Attack on America

   On September 11th 2001, I woke up for answering the phone at 8 o'clock from my sister in Japan.  She said, "Two airplanes were flown into the World Trade Center buildings, and the buildings were collapsed few minutes ago.  Are you all right?"  Her voice was very imminent.  She got a shock and surprised.  I turned on the TV as soon as I hung up the phone.  After one hour, I could know exactly what happened in New York and Pentagon.  The terrorists hijacked four airplanes by precise plans that two airplanes were flown into WTC buildings with passengers, one airplane was flown into the Pentagon, and the last one was flying in the sky if Pittsburg.  Because of the hijack, many innocent passengers should be died, and  WTC buildings and Pentagon should be collapsed.  The terrorists destroyed the WTC buildings and Pentagon because wanted to give the America Ministry's disorder and America economy's panics, but America has to keep peace and solve wisely about relationship with the Middle East without any new wars.
