About the Instructor
Kathleen is a four-time
Irene Ryan Acting Nominee and three-time Dramaloque winner for her
performances in the Los Angeles Area. Currently, her lead role in
the T.V. movie, Tilly, will
be aired on PAX TV in the fall of 2003. She has been acting
professionally in TV, Film, and Theatre for over fifteen years. She
credits her growth as an artist to her voice and movement training
under the guidance of Arthur Lessac.
Kathleen
became a certified Lessac Voice, Speech and Body Trainer in October of
1991. Since then, she has served as a voice and speech trainer in
theatre for Long Beach City College, California State, Fullerton and
Loyola Marymount. Currently, she is the dialect coach and an acting
instructor for the University of Southern California, Los Angeles and is
going on her fourteenth year teaching voice and speech for the actor and
non-actor at Santa Monica College. She is member of SAG, AFTRA, AEA
and VASTA.
