The Department of CSIS at Santa Monica College
has an Academic Alliance program with Microsoft Corp.
It allows our students (any student who signs up for CS or
CIS course) to get some software programs for Free.
More details will be given on the course website (once you
logon check Handouts).
For my classes you can get Microsoft Visual Studio .NET,
Windows XP, Windows 2000 and Microsoft Project.
We distribute the latest versions but email me for the current one used.
Note that to get the software you must :
- Receive
an email from MSDNAA (the alliance program)
into the website referenced in the email using the login and password info
provided
- Sign
up the agreement.
- Choose
the software you need. You will then receive a confirmation email from
MSDNAA.
- Print
that email and bring it with the needed number of CD-R to the CSIS lab.
Note the CSIS lab is located in the Business building at Santa Monica College.
You may have to come in person to the lab for certain software; others
are available for a direct download.
