CS 9B Technology Project Management II 3 Units
Transfer: CSU • Prerequisite: CS 9A or CIS 9A.
Course
Description: This course covers advanced topics of Project Management
theory and practice.
Students will learn how to manage projects with changing tasks, schedules and
adjust their resources and
budgets. Also covered are leadership and communication skills.
Students will complement the theory with case studies and the use of Project
Management software.
Microsoft Project 2007 will be provided Free of charge for students.
Note that if you want to work at home, then it is YOUR responsibility to get
the software installed.
If you are in an online class, then you must obtain the software and install
it, and make sure you
established a way to connect to the internet at least 3 times a week.
Textbook
We use two books. One to cover the theory of Project Management, and the
other covers using
Microsoft Project 2007. Both books are published by Course Technology (www.course.com).
