MGH Workbook   Exercise 4-2 page 105

Remember:

Subject complements follow linking verbs and rename or describe the subject. Not all sentences have subject complements.
Direct objects follow action verbs and receive the action of the verb.  Direct objects answer whom or what after the verb. Not all sentences have direct objects.
Indirect objects occur only if direct objects exist in the sentence.  In other words, a sentence cannot have an indirect object unless it has a direct object. Not all sentences have indirect objects.
