Attendance: Since we meet only once per week, we will cover a great deal of material each session. Thus, students are expected to attend class weekly, to be punctual and to remain in class for its full session. Arrival after 6:55 p.m. is considered late. Since tests will be given at the beginning of class, late arrivers risk not completing the test and losing valuable points; all tests will be collected at the same time.
Students will be rewarded for steady, punctual attendance. At the end of the term, an attendance grade will be averaged in with your test scores:
Attend
every class = 100%
Miss one meeting = 90%
Miss two meetings = 80%
Miss three meetings = 70%
Miss four meetings = 60%
If you come in late, be sure to check with me at the end of the class to make sure that I have marked you in.
Excessive absences or excessive tardies will result in your being dropped from the course.
