Catalog Description
Students will relate their academic experience to local, state or national governments by working in a governmental agency for a summer or semester. Academic credit is based on a written report or research paper relating the student's internship experience and an oral examination. Enrollment must be concurrent with an approved internship assignment. Political Science 10 is transferrable to the California State University. Santa Monica College and the instructor do not arrange internship placements for students. However, Dr. Buckley is available to meet with students and advise them about internship opportunities. Advisory: Consultation with the instructor is recommended. An approved internship must be arranged prior to enrollment.
