These are exciting times for all biological sciences, probably none more exciting than microbiology. The human genome has been sequenced. Infectious diseases kill millions annually. AIDS is still a pandemic, so are other sexually transmittied diseases. Emerging diseases threaten our very existence. This course is designed to provide information on these and other aspects of microbiology. Microbiology is an essential prerequisite for most of the health care disciplines.
