I attended community college at Orange Coast College (OCC) in Costa Mesa, California.  It was here that I actually began to enjoy school for the first time in my life.  I enjoyed college courses so much that I decided to obtain a Master's degree and become a community college instructor.  After three years at OCC, I transferred to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and spent two of the best years of my life studying English in that small town on the Central Coast of California.  After graduating with my Bachelor's degree, I traveled to Europe, taught English for a year in Spain, and continued studying the Spanish language.  Since then, I have made two more trips to Europe and have lived in Europe for six years all together so far.  In between trips to Europe, I obtained my Master's degree in Teaching Literature and Composition at Chapman University in Orange, California and the Certificate to Teach English as a Second Language at University of California, Irvine Extension.  Pondering the possibility of doing a PhD/Doctorate is a favorite pastime of mine, along with reading, creative writing, and planning future trips abroad or within the USA.  This past summer I drove across the country--coast to coast--8400 miles total!  Along the trip I visited seven baseball stadiums, the Field of Dreams filming location, and the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.  I also saw Niagara Falls and Mount Rushmore amongst various other points of interest.
