Textbook: Chemistry, 5th ed., Steven S. Zumdahl
Laboratory Manual: Chemistry 12 Laboratory Manual, experiments from Chemical Principles in The Laboratory, 5th ed., Slowinski, Wolsey, and Masterson.


Exam Policy: There will be four exams during the semester. Each of these exams is worth 100 points. The lowest score of these four exams will be dropped in computing your final grade. There will be a comprehensive multiple choice final exam worth 120 points. You must sit for this final exam in order to successfully complete the course. Failure to take the final exam will give you a failing grade for the course. The academic honesty policy of Santa Monica College will be strictly enforced.

Lab Policy: Before coming to lab, you must complete the Pre-Laboratory Questions in the lab manual. On those days when a lab experiment is performed, you must have the data sheet in your lab book initialed and dated by your lab instructor before leaving the lab. The lab report for the experiment will be due at your next scheduled lab session.
